Sudan365 asks global leaders to coordinate, intensifying their efforts to prevent conflict in Sudan. How do we get this message heard? By building a global drumbeat for peace across every continent to show that the world is calling for action.
A simple drumbeat started in Sudan. It travelled around the world, picked up by drummers in South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Trinidad, Rwanda, Japan, Ireland, Australia, Ghana, Egypt, France, Northern Ireland, Dubai, Spain, Russia, and India. Famous drummers from Radiohead, the Police, Pink Floyd and Snow Patrol joined the beat, as did Mustapha Tettey Addy, Yehia Khalil and Mohammed Munir. Their actions generated headline media coverage around the world.
As a result of this massive global day of action, world leaders made public commitments to assist the Sudanese find a peaceful way through this critical year. We now need to hold them to their promises.
What’s next?
The beat for peace is growing. The 2nd open drum session for this global campaign will take place on Saturday 10th April, 1pm at the Craft Village in Derry.
The event will be lead by multicultural fusion band, Harmonicity. For more info, check out:
