QFT, in partnership with the Unite Against Hate campaign, presets a series of films and discussions focusing on issues of prejudice and hate crime. The fourth event in the series will take place on Sunday 23 May 2010 at 3pm with a screening of ‘Resolution 819’.
Resolution 819 tells the compelling story of a young investigator sent to Bosnia in 1995 to investigate the disappearance of 8,000 men in Srebrenica and eventually bring the perpetrators of the massacre to justice at the International Criminal Court.
A powerful and dark thriller, with a sombre soundtrack by Ennio Morricone, Resolution 819 looks at a period in our recent past that shocked the world and entered into the pages of history.
Director: Giacomo Battiato
2008, France, Poland, Italy
Awards: Golden Marc’Aurelio Audience Award – Best Film – Rome International Film Festival, 2008
The screening will be followed by a discussion chaired by William Crawley from BBC Northern Ireland.
